Empower Media Exchange works across training, storytelling and strategic communication
to strengthen local information systems and support community participation.

We provide hands-on learning opportunities, narrative support for organizations and shared platforms
that help people build skills, collaborate across generations and contribute to informed public dialogue.

This work is designed to support both individual growth and organizational capacity
while strengthening trust, connection and participation across Colorado.

Media Training & Digital Resilience

We help people navigate today’s information environment with confidence, building skills to evaluate sources, develop healthy digital habits and engage responsibly in online and civic spaces.

Workforce-Ready Skill Building

Our programs offer practical training in research, writing, storytelling, multimedia production and communications strategy, supporting career readiness, portfolio development and pathways to professional growth across sectors.

Intergenerational Co-Creation

We create opportunities for people of different ages to learn from one another through shared storytelling, mentorship and collaboration, strengthening communication, understanding and connection across generations.

Strategic Narrative Support

We partner with nonprofits, coalitions and community-focused organizations to develop clear, effective narratives that support community goals, public understanding and policy-adjacent work.

Project

A citywide storytelling initiative that brings together voices across generations to strengthen connection, civic participation and shared understanding, while providing hands-on experience in storytelling, media production and public engagement.

Next-Gen Storytelling
& Media Literacy Lab

Youth gain workforce-ready skills in research, interviewing, writing and multimedia production while developing healthy digital habits and learning to communicate across generations. Participants apply skills through real publishing and portfolio-building projects.

Front Range Focus

A digital news website that publishes community-fueled journalism and trustworthy, accurate information across Colorado’s Front Range. Through reporting, interviews and story-driven features, we help communities stay informed, connected and engaged.

Community Information
Commons

A shared distribution and amplification hub that helps community stories, initiatives and insights reach broader audiences. The Commons supports intergenerational co-creation and gives participants real experience publishing work that is seen, shared and engaged with.

Our Intergenerational Approach

Empower Media Exchange intentionally creates spaces for youth and aging adults to learn from one another through storytelling, mentorship and shared projects. By strengthening communication across generations, we build skills that matter in today’s workplaces while fostering connection and belonging in our communities.
